Blanco UK launches BlancoElon XL 6 S Silgranit sink
The new eyecatching BlancoElon XL 6 S is a versatile, multifunctional sink with practical accessories to increase the working surface around the food preparation area. It is made from Blanco's durable and hardwearing coloured sink material, Silgranit PuraDur II, with its patented Hygiene Protection Formula, Hygiene Plus.
With taps in chrome or complementary colours, these sinks integrate beautifully with the design styling of most kitchens, enhancing other appliances and fittings.
The sink, which is reversible, has an extremely spacious XL single-bowl and drainer featuring a contemporary, elegant undulating wave design. With outer dimensions of 780 x 500 mm, the sink is designed to fit a 600 mm sink cabinet and the tap ledge, positioned on the side, makes it an ideal choice when positioned in front of a window.
This innovative product includes a stainless steel drainer grid which connects easily to the drainer and slides over the bowl creating an extension of the drainage area. The grid, which is a standard accessory, doubles as a trivet to place pots and pans on the worktop.
The patented Hygiene Protection Formula, Hygiene Plus, combines the water repellent surfaces with new antibacterial properties to reduce the growth of potentially harmful bacteria by up to 98%. Blanco is a world leader in the production of granite sinks - and, through intensive tests by independent institutes, Silgranit PuraDur II has been proven to have the best hygiene properties, says the company.
The BlancoElon XL 6 S is shown here in the new Rock Grey, a striking shade of dark grey with a stone-like finish and hints of brown that create an inviting warmth. It joins the nine existing colours in the range.
