BMA continues rapid growth with Altecnic
Five new members in as many months is rapid growth by any standards for a trade association. But now the BMA, the Voice of the Bathroom Industry, has swelled its ranks yet again and welcomes Altecnic to its membership
"Having Altecnic on board means a lot to our Association," says Yvonne Orgill, chief executive of the BMA. "Our membership is growing well and Altecnic adds to the BMA's influence within all sectors of the industry, with government and of course with our consumers."
Established in 1988, carbon neutral Altecnic, has become synonymous with the supply of quality plumbing equipment and provides products sold through the majority of UK plumbers and builders merchants. In 2002 the Stafford company became part of the global Caleffi group which enjoys a turnover of more than £264m, employing around 1,000 staff worldwide.
Alan Sherwin, CEO of Altecnic Ltd said "We are delighted to have become a member of such a well respected voice within the industry and the company is looking forward to supporting the Association achieve its aims and objectives and playing a pro-active role within its membership."
The BMA represents, through its technical and marketing committees, the interests of almost 40 major bathroom manufacturing groups with over 75 well-known brands in the market place. The manufacturing base directly employs almost 10.000 people at over 60 sites in the UK with retail sales in excess of £4bn per annum.
