Mereway Kitchens strengthen internal and external sales & marketing team
Mereway Kitchens has strengthened its internal and external sales & marketing team with three new appointments.
Andrew Burns has been appointed to the newly created position of Product Manager, a role established to define product strategy, further develop CAD presence and advance core product positioning and messaging.
Andrew joins Mereway from Oldrids & Co where he worked as a Kitchen Designer. Prior to this he was Product Development Manager at Hammonds and Design Consultant for Lucas Engineering. Andrew brings more than 25 years' relevant experience to Mereway along with his host of qualifications including an MSc in Manufacturing & Technology Management and a B.Eng in Mechanical & Production Engineering. Andrew, a Chartered Production Engineer is also currently studying for a BSc in Environmental Studies.
Andrew will be bringing a breadth of skills including the introduction of more efficient product introduction processes, improved supplier integration, streamlining and structuring information from manufacturers' technical output to the end user and improving CAD processes.
Dawood Palekar is Mereway's new Marketing Communications Manager. Dawood will be responsible for delivering marketing communication activities for all the Mereway brands. Previously Marketing Manager for Swiss brand Laufen, Dawood brings extensive experience from previous marketing roles with global companies including Gunnebo and Chubbsafes. He has considerable experience in brand strategy, digital marketing, retail marketing and direct marketing. His qualifications include a BA Hons in Architecture and MSc in Marketing Management.
Dawood will focus on product presentation both online and in print whilst managing product launch processes. Other activities include managing cross-functional implementation of marketing plans and supporting retailers as part of Mereway's Premium Partner Programme.
Tom Stratford, as Area Sales Manager, South East, will cover London, Kent, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex. Tom joins Mereway with 10 years of industry experience, with eight years working for Howdens in various roles and more recently as Territory Sales Manager for Benchmarx, part of the Travis Perkins Group. Tom possesses extensive kitchen design and planning experience, along with CAD and management skills.
Tom's role involves strengthening service, increasing turnover and enhancing relationships with Mereway retailers whilst developing new prospect areas, increasing brand awareness and supporting localised marketing and promotional activities with each individual independent business.
Tom brings a fresh, innovative and dynamic approach to Mereway with a passion for working in the KBB industry and enthusiasm for working within the realm of CRM and sales procurement.
