Mereway Kitchens commends more employees for 20 years' service

Family owned, Birmingham kitchen and bathroom furniture manufacturer Mereway Kitchens, recently commended a further four employees for 20 years of service with the company.

In 1993, employees Lynda Blue, John Bourne, Ian Hickman and Martin Suffolk joined Mereway and now 20 years later celebrated their long service at a presentation event with Managing Directors Bob and Richard Norris. In recognition of their loyalty, integrity and commitment, each received a personal gift to mark the occasion.

Mereway Bathrooms Sales Co-Ordinator Lynda Blue began her career with Mereway at the Amington Road site. She then moved to Mereway Bathrooms some years later where she still works today within the internal sales team.

John Bourne started with Mereway as a CNC/Press Operator, then progressed to Trainee Team Leader in Foils Doors in 1998 and to full Team Leader status in 1999. In 2009 John moved to the Maintenance Department and after training now holds his current position of Maintenance Engineer.

Ian Hickman started working for Mereway as a Wood Machinist. Ian progressed to Despatch Team Leader then moved to Post and Carriers Division where he today works as a Factory Operative.

Martin Suffolk started with Mereway as a Production Operative. Martin is today, an extremely experienced operative on a number of saws and machines within the main production team.

"We are always delighted to present these gifts, as each person truly deserves recognition and reward for their commitment to our business,"says Managing Director Bob Norris. "Mereway are proud to say that with the addition of these staff, we now have 15 team members throughout the Mereway group who have reached their 20 years' service milestone."

Mereway also has a further seven staff who will be awarded next year for their 20 years' service, from a cross section of departments including production staff, supervisors and managers.
