Methven goes back to school with L&Q
Global designer and manufacturer of premium showers and tapware, Methven UK, has completed work on a prestigious central London development, as part of its contract with leading housing developer London & Quadrant (L&Q).
The Schoolyard is a new residential development, comprising of 139 hi-spec apartments with accessible shared spaces, in the vibrant Wandsworth area of London.
As one of the UK's leading housing associations and largest residential developers, L&Q currently has a housing stock of more than 70,000 homes in London and the South East. The Schoolyard is a development of one, two and three-bedroomed apartments, with prices ranging from £400,000 to £615,000, and L&Q was therefore looking for stylish kitchen and bathroom brassware products of the highest quality.
As part of its position as a key supplier of brassware and showers to L&Q, Methven was able to provide a range of high-specification products for the development including the Maku cool to touch thermostatic bar shower with Satinjet technology. Delivering more shower for less water, the innovative Satinjet technology performs at much lower flow rates, reducing water and energy consumption to help comply with legislation, without compromising the shower experience.
Amongst the brassware specified for The Schoolyard was the sleek Deva by Methven Linx basin mixers and bath shower mixers and, in the kitchens, the striking Edge mono sink mixers.
"We are working with L&Q on a range of developments across London and the South East," explains Richard Hammerton, national key accounts manager at Methven. "As a key brassware provider, we have to ensure our products meet every specification and The Schoolyard is a great example of how we have answered the brief.
"The combination of our well designed products and our Satinjet technology means that residents enjoy the latest styles, water efficiency and a great showering experience."
Neil Woolerson of L&Q adds: "We're delighted with the bathroom and kitchen brassware at The Schoolyard development, and Methven's showers and taps have become a real focal point within them... Stylish, quality and reliable products - just what our purchasers are looking for."
