Those of you that met with John and Alan Austen on Sunday 19th May at kbb LDN will recall that John and I were due to fly out to Verona the following day to produce a daily newsletter for a large cleaning show. Sadly, because I needed to prepare much of the first day's issue in advance, I was unable to attend kbb LDN myself. As you'll know though, John attended, and he's produced a brief photo report, which should prove of interest to those of you who, like me, couldn't attend in person. You can read it further down the page. Cleaning is certainly not as glamorous as kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms but as you can imagine lots of the products we’ve looked at over there have benefited from that clever Italian design flair. And of course we’ve also enjoyed that wonderful Italian hospitality and friendship so it’s been a pretty good week – despite the lack of sleep that comes with steaming around a large exhibition all day, then putting a newsletter together overnight for a pre-show broadcast the following day! One of the things that’s kept me going is that our hotel has recently been upgraded and I’ve been particularly spoilt with my bathroom. I’ve really enjoyed the little time I’ve spent in there as it’s fitted out with a gorgeous Jacuzzi loo, bidet and basin and lots of Geberit, Huber and Keuco products. I have to admit that I stroked everything when I first saw it. Fabulous KBB products just have that effect on you, don’t they? Finally - in case it passed you by... we announced on Friday that because of delays to our homeward journey from Verona, we'd be broadcasting that day's issue today and what would have been this coming Friday's issue next Friday instead. I know how these Bank Holidays can addle the brain so if you're based in the UK, today is Wednesday and not Friday and you do need to set your alarm and go to work tomorrow! Yours,
