Welcome to the
I occasionally receive emails from overseas and have always assumed that they come not from regular readers, but from those who've stumbled across us during a quest via one of the search engines, for an answer to a pressing question or problem. For the past few months we have been broadcasting KBZine in a different way that not only allows us to count the click-throughs to our advertisements and editorials, but which also allows us to take a real-time snapshot of our readers. As this image of the most recent 200 readers (from our distribution to more than 7,000) shows, KBZine might be a UK-based operation, but we have readers in most continents and John says this snapshot is not an unusual one in as much as we are read globally on a regular basis. I wonder whether KBZine will one day end up like its sister publication Cleanzine, and be read by 80,000 readers in 148 countries? I hope so. Although both my kitchen and my bathroom are in desperate need of a makeover I can't imagine not having them at all and hope that one day we'll all have the decent, hygienic cooking and sanitary facilities that we deserve as human beings. Globally, we need to conserve water, so this is another good reason for manufacturers from the KBB industry and anyone with a related tale to tell, to get in touch and enable us to share your news and ideas with our readers, wherever they may be in the world, to help raise standards everywhere. I was about to say, "together, we can make a difference" but that sounds cheesy. You know what I mean though... Yours, Jan Hobbs
